Evolution Equations for Distortional Plastic Hardening

چکیده
Ash&act-In an earlier paper the authors proposed a geometrical description of distortional plastic hardening. The parameters of this model describe, in turn, all the elements of transformation of the initial yield surface, namely proportional expansion, translation, affine deformation, rotation, and distortion. The present paper is devoted to evolution equations for individual parameters: after a general discussion and analysis of existing experimental data, some effective equations are proposed. In particular, they are adjusted to describe Bui’s experiment on subsequent yield surfaces under combined compression and torsion of a thin-walled tube.

Evolution of internal variables in an expanding hollow cylinder at large plastic strains
An efficient method for calculating the evolution of internal variables in an expanding hollow cylinder of rigid/plastic material is proposed. The conventional constitutive equations for rigid plastic, hardening material are supplemented with quite an arbitrary set of evolution laws for internal variables assuming that the material is incompressible. No restriction is imposed on the hardening l...
متن کاملAbnormal Plastic Behavior of Fine Grain Mp35n Alloy During Room Temperature Tensile Testing
In this paper, results of an investigation on the strain hardening responses of superalloy MP35N with two average grain sizes of 38 and 1 μm, during room temperature tensile testing are reported. The microstructural evolution of the deformed samples was studied using optical and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The strain hardening behavior of the 38 μm material was rather sim...
متن کاملA Constitutive Model for Sands
In this paper, an elastoplastic constitutive model is presented for predicting sandy soil behavior under monotonic and cyclic loadings. The model is based on the CJS3 model that takes into account deviatoric and isotropic mechanisms of plasticity. The flow rule in deviatoric mechanism is non-associated and a kinematic hardening law controls the evolution of the yield surface. In the present s...

متن کاملModelling Mechanical Properties of AISI 439-430Ti Ferritic Stainless Steel Sheet
The comprehension of the anisotropy impacts on mechanical properties of the rolled steel sheets was investigated using a non-quadratic anisotropic yield function. In this study, experimental and modelling determination regarding the behaviour of an industrial rolled sheet for a ferritic stainless low-carbon steel were carried out. The parameters of the associated yield equation, derived from th...
